Environmental Awareness Campaign
Adobe Illustrator
One Swap at a Time is a plastic pollution awareness campaign, inspired by Oceana's branding. As the designer, I created a campaign message that makes tackling a complex environmental issue, like plastic pollution, more approachable for audiences.
This campaign reminds audiences that plastic pollution affects the environment, and we are responsible for taming this issue. However, approaching it with "one swap at a time” gently reminds the us that significant change happens with small steps. Instead of overwhelming people with the disturbing facts, this campaign encourages mindfulness when and before consuming plastic.
The One Swap at a Time campaign aims to change people’s perspectives on plastic. The Awareness posters inform the audience about the facts of plastic pollution and how it negatively affects the ocean. In addition to the campaign’s overall call-to-action, the posters provides more steps that viewers can take to strengthen their knowledge about this issue.
The average person may not have the time to thoroughly research and understand the dangers of plastic on the environment. Therefore, campaigns such as this increase plastic pollution awareness by bringing the facts and solutions to the audience.
